Q'ente is one of Cusco's well established trekking companies. The name Q'ente is Quechua for hummingbird and also the name of a group of Inca Ruins found along the Vilcanota River close to the start of the Inca Trail. Q'ente have several groups leaving for the Inca Trail each week. Their standard four-day Inca Trail costs US$560 (2011). They also offer a premium Inca Trail service with a maximum of only 8 persons (email them for prices). As well as the Inca Trail Q'ente can arrange all the local treks including Ausangate, Salkantay and Vilcabamba and have recently introduced package tours with the emphasis on trekking. Excellent guides and good quality equipment. Voted Best Inca Trail Operator 2002 by Peru's Ministry of Tourism. Recommended by Lonely Planet Guide to Peru and by the South American Explorers Club.
