Rainforest Expeditions
Rainforest Expeditions is a Peruvian eco-tourism company founded in 1992 with the purpose of combining tourism with environmental education, research and local sustainable development to support the conservation of the areas in which they operate.
They have three lodges in the rainforest of Tambopata; the Posada Amazonas (30 rooms), the Tambopata Research Center (18 rooms) and the Refugio Amazonas (24 rooms). The Tambopata Research Center has been lodging tourists and researchers since 1989 while the Posada Amazonas was inaugurated in 1998 in partnership with the local Ese'eja Native Community. Refugio Amazonas is the latest addition to Rainforest Expeditions Tambopata portfolio.
