Getting There & Away

The pedestrian street of Calle Lima has a good selection of many reasonable restaurants, but very few stand out as excellent.

Cafes

Rico Pan

Moquegua 330, Puno. Tel 35 4179

Cheap pastries, sandwiches and drinks. A pleasant place for breakfast or other meals. Excellent coffees, espresso and cappuccino. It's also a bakery so you can buy loads of delicious cakes to take with you on your boat trip to the islands of Titicaca.

Restaurants - Medium

Cafe Internacional

Corner of Libertad and Moquegua, Puno. Tel 35 2502

Probably one of the best restaurants in town but the interior is a little sparse and the service variable. However the food is good and there is plenty of it. Meals cost about $ 4-6 and include pastas, chicken, steak and pizza. You can also have breakfast or just a sandwich.

Pizzeria del Buho

Lima 347, Puno

Well recommended for pizzas and pastas. Warm atmosphere. They often have a daily set menu which is very reasonable although not advertised outside.
