Description:
New hotel (opened in 2003) located in the old quarter of the City. Casa Andina promotes itself as a "new hotel chain formed by Peruvian investors". In the last 8 years Casa Andina have opened more than 15 hotels throughout Peru including Lima, Nasca, Arequipa & Colca, Puno, Cusco, Sacred Valley and a jungle lodge in Tambopata. All hotels are professionally run and very competitively priced. Hotel Casa Andina Classic is located 6 blocks from the main square (about 15 minute walk). Its certainly not an attractive building, lacking character, bit it has all the comforts you could expect from a modern hotel. Popular with tour groups.

Overall Rating 6/10 (03 September 2008 Sonia Diouri, France)
"We stayed at the Casa Andina in Arequipa for 2 nights as part of a tour so we didn't choose the hotel ourselves. The rooms were small and there was no sound insulation separating the rooms, you could hear people walking outside the door and the people next door to us showering! The tour included an evening buffet which had a very poor selection of food, none of which was very hot. In the morning our group had to leave early but breakfast was not ready on time. During our visit to Peru we stayed in much better quality hotels for about the same price so I am sure you can do better than staying in this hotel unless you get a really good rate.
