Overall Rating 9/10 (16 July 2008 Marcus Shuttleworth, Wales)

"We stayed at this hostal for 3 nights in July. We hadn't booked anything in advance, we just turned up and were lucky to get a room. The room was large, clean and the beds were comfortable although the furniture was a bit old fashioned - I felt as if I was staying in a hotel back in the 1950's. This wasn't a criticism, it kind of added to the atmosphere. There is a great rooftop terrace with views of el Misti volcano on a clear day. The location couldn't be better, right next to the Santa Catalina Monastery and with the main square and all the restaurants conveniently to hand. Very safe. They also offer a full range of city tours and tours to the Colca canyon. Overall highly recommended"
