Description:

A sprawling colonial building built around a large open-air stone courtyard located in a quiet part of San Blas. 38 rooms in total of which 22 are traditional rooms, 15 are superior rooms and 1 suite. Many have nice views over Cusco's tiled rooftops. The rooms can vary considerable, a couple are dark and gloomy with a window that opens onto a corridor so be sure to ask for a room with a view (hint: try to avoid a ground floor room). The staff appeared friendly and always willing to help sort out any travel problem / tour bookings.

Casa Andina promotes itself as a "new hotel chain formed by Peruvian investors". In the last 8 years Casa Andina have opened more than 15 hotels throughout Peru including Lima, Nasca, Arequipa & Colca, Puno, Cusco, Sacred Valley and a jungle lodge in Tambopata. All hotels are professionally run and very competitively priced

"the walk to the Plaza de Armas is either down a narrow backstreet or along another narrow backstreet to San Blas Plaza, both routes didn't feel safe to walk at night so be sure to take a taxi"
