El Balcon (or 'The Balcony') is situated 3 blocks from the main Plaza de Armas. Attractive hostal, built on a hill, offering a great panoramic view of the city of Cusco.

There are 16 rooms, all with private bathrooms, 24 hour hot water and large comfortable beds. Facilities include a sauna.

There is also a garden with chairs to relax in the sun. The hotel is clean and the staff knowledgeable and helpful. Popular with oversees tour groups.

"... also on my list of some of the best hotels is EL Balcon in Tambo Monterro in Cuzco. Large, comfortable rooms, good cafeteria, free coca leaf tea, and a great homely atmosphere"
