Inkaterra is a high quality tour operator which owns several excellent hotels in Peru including the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel in Aguas Calientes (close to Machu Picchu) and the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. This top quality jungle lodge is set in the heart of a 40-square-mile private ecological reserve in the Tambopata region of the Amazon rainforest.
The lodge has 34 thatched bungalows, each comfortable bungalow has flush toilets, showers with plenty of hot water, beds covered with individual mosquito nets, and ecologically friendly toiletry. There are hammocks in the porches. The lodge is surrounded by 8 kilometres of jungle trails as well as a dramatic canopy walkway taking visitors on a thrilling journey high above the rainforest.
