Overall rating 5/10 (Sept 2007, Gwyneth R, Cardiff, UK)

For around $30/night we found the Hostal La Posada de Parque was a pleasant place to stay. It was certainly very peaceful and a little oasis of tranquillity away from the busy city life. It is in a cul-de-sac surrounded by other beautiful homes. It was often difficult to find a taxi and we had to walk a block to a busier street. The room was large but gloomy with no natural light. The decor was a bit strange with lots of dolls stuck on the walls and the communal lounge was very dusty. The owner was friendly and always on hand to help give advice. Overall it's not a bad hotel but the main drawback is the location. Santa Beatriz is in the middle of nowhere, there are no shops or restaurants nearby so you have to take a taxi to Miraflores. I think I could have found better accommodation in Miraflores for the price and I am sure there must be better hotels in Lima that you can recommend in Andean Travel Web.
