The pretty village of Yucay is about 35km along the Sacred Valley from Pisac in the direction of Ollantaytambo. As with all villages in the Sacred Valley the altitude is almost 1000m lower than Cusco and the weather is slightly warmer. This makes it an ideal place to stay and acclimatize if you are feeling unwell in Cusco or have concerns with the thin air of the mountains. It is also an ideal location to use as a base to visit the villages in the Sacred Valley. Both of the hotels listed below are owned by the Sonesta Posada del Inca Chain of hotels.
