based in Santiago, Chile. As the principal Chilean airline, it is also Chile's
flag carrier. LAN is one of the largest airlines in Latin America, with flights
to Latin America, United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Oceania, and Europe. It
is a member of the One World Airline Alliance (together with American Airlines,
British Airways, Iberia & Quantas amongst others) so it should be possible to
purchase domestic flights through your local travel agent when booking your
international flight. Their web site also allows online reservations and secure
payments. Domestic flights between the following major cities in Peru: Lima -
Cusco (12 flights per day each way), Lima - Arequipa (6 flights per day each
way), Arequipa - Juliaca, Lake Titicaca (4 flights per day each way), Cusco -
Puerto Maldonado (2 flights per day each way). Other cities serviced by LAN
include Chiclayo, Iquitos, Pucallpa, Piura, Tacna & Trujillo.

TACA is an international airline headquartered in San Salvador (El Salvador).
TACA, originally an acronym of Transportes Aéreos Centroamericanos (Central
American Air Transport), it now stands for Transportes Aéreos del Continente
Americano (Air Transport of the American Continent), reflecting its expansion to
North, Central, South America and the Caribbean. It flies to 39 destinations in
22 different countries. In 2009 TACA received three Skytrax World Airline Awards
effectively crowning the airline as "Best Airline in Central America, Mexico and
the Carribbean".
TACA operate international flights as well as one daily domestic flight each way between Lima and Cusco.
